Hey guys. This post is embarrassing subject but I have to ask some people if there is anything/advice about sweating. I feel for a 26 yo male who goes to the gym 3 times a week and rides a push bike to work that is a 40 minute round trip I am extremely easy to build a sweat doing simple low effort things. This is mainly under arm. Not hands back or anything.
I have tried lots of different deodorants but none really seem to work better then another, they also coat the inside of my t-shirts which are slowly getting destroyed by the build up.
I know sweating is natural and it's normal but wet patches under my arms from a walk up the shops on a winters day with only a t-shirt on is ridiculous. It is changing my wardrobe, which is getting filled with either white or dark blue and black. I like colours.
I'm not smelly at least but the visual effects are really REALLY pissing my off hard! I find it so embarrassing and find myself in the toilet using the paper to try an soak some of it out of my t-shirts under arms.
Does any one else experience this and have any advice to offer? I'm starting to think to speak to a doctor about this it is annoying me that much (I'm not big on doctors).
Thanks for listening to me. I couldn't talk about this completely to someone face to face.

talk to your doctor, but otherwise there is nothing else right? there does not exist a cream or de-sweaterizer 4000 that sucks up sweat.
if you're overweight, perhaps drop down to an appropriate BMI and get in shape so that exertion is less "taxing" and your body does not need to sweat to cool itself.

I have (had) Hyperhydrosis to where i would sweat almost constantly, no matter the temperature, at my under arms, hands, face, chest, etc. It was bad enough that it became an issue in how I related to people and how I felt about myself.
To fix it, I simply had a minor surgery that used staples to pinch two nerves on either side of my lungs. Those nerves controlled my sweat response, and now, I only sweat from the top of my abdomen down. You can have additional surgeries for different nerves, but there's a potential for impotence.
I had this done almost 5 years ago, before the "sweaty palm" craze because popular, and I haven't looked back since. It's the best thing I could have done for myself.

If it's just underarm, try ditching coffee.
drinking coffee makes my armpits perspire freely, predictably within fifteen minutes.

That's amazing. I've never heard of such a thing.

Thanks for the replies guys.
'Apple Pro Underwear' I'm not over weight, I'm 168cm tall and weigh 71 kg. Right in the healthy weight range, but good call. I should have said that
'RAILhead' thats nuts. Thanks for the link. That was helpful. Good to here that helped you out. I'll have to look in to it. But I happy I asked here because I never knew of that. Thanks.
'analogika' I love my coffee! I need an espresso to get my day off to a good start
But I will have to give it a try to see if thats a possible cause. Would tea still do the same thing?
I would like to add I am a 'windows down' person and always seem to be the person hottest in the office winter/summer and I always am sipping on water. I have been trying to cut my water consuption a bit, but I thought manly drinking water was a good thing.

It totally changed my life. All growing up, I was way too conscious about my underarms being sweaty. I couldn't put my arm around anyone, I was always wondering if a wet underarm was showing, all kinds of things. Luckily, I had any odor -- just sweat sweat sweat.
It was 30 minute procedure that changed my life, quite literally.
What's funny now, is when I sweat, my shirt is dry until you get to my stomach, then you can tell I'm sweating.

That's odd. I drink a lot of coffee and I've never heard of it aggravating sweat glands, or noticing something like that.
MM: I'd just have to second the whole "ask your doctor" thing. It sounds like it could be axillary hyperhidrosis, in which case I believe prescribed medicine (aluminum chloride?) can be applied under your arms a couple times a week to prevent the sweat.
Edit: Google came up with this resource,
http://www.handsdry.com/
Looks helpful!

There are a lot of "remedies" for hyperhydrosis, but the only ones that really work are the full-on surgery like I had or Botox injections every 6 months or so. Any medication that is to be applied will only work sporadically, and it's a complete bother to deal with. There haven't been ANY significant advances on topical treatment (or any other) outside of nerve surgery or Botox.
