So as of right now I have about 16 hours until I leave for college. I will be attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia for their video production program. I should probably try to make the most of my last hours here in DC, rather than making a thread on how Im leaving. No offense to MacNN. I finally got all of my crap packed and in the car ready for tomorrow, I wish I had a longer summer, but I'd rather be the first of my friends to leave then the last.

So next time I post I will hopefully be in the city of brotherly love.

Good luck with Philly... I'm not sure where the school is, but there are some "interesting" parts to that city.

congrats.......

good luck at school.

we (the gf and i) love philly. going back this weekend.

this is some of the best food in the city. a bit pricey, so get the 'rents to take you...since after all, you're a poor college student, not to mention a poor college art student.

Going to SVA (School of Visual Arts-- this seems to be quite an artsy thread) in New York City for Filmmaking.

hah, thanks. i already spend a lot of time in the city. i work at Tekserve on 23rd and 6th (which, luckily, is down the street from SVA, on 23rd and 3rd, so i can keep working there) so i'm pretty familiar with it. i've lived near NYC my whole life (first Staten Island, then Jersey, and soon Manhattan)... i love it here.

Cool, I work on W 18th St near Tekserve -- that's a great store!

However, I am a transplant, originally from Boston. I don't tell people that either

Love this town.

Why does it start so early?

But good luck, I hope you enjoy freshman year as much as I did.

because they do it on quarters instead of semesters, and its pretty much year round. Ansd i decided i wanted to be one of the first people to leave for college instead of the last. That way they miss me instead of me missing them.

Yeah, I have quarters too. Although mine are only 7 weeks long, so thats probably the difference.

Good call. I leave on September 9th for my trimester college. A deciding factor for the school was not their schedule.
