Title says it. This is NOT SPAM! I've got a yahoo/geocities site, but their restrictions on bandwidth are awful, unless you pay for service.

Can anyone point me to a good free web service?

thanks,

k-

Good, free, and web host simply don't fit in the same sentence.

You can find free web hosts, but they're invariably not good.

You can, however, find a good inexpensive webhost (as in under $10 a month). Dreamhost, 1and1, and NTT are all suggestions for this category.

As any design agency knows, you tell your clients you can give them GOOD, CHEAP, FAST design, but they can only pick two.

I had googled it a couple months ago, picked a host, set up my page, etc. Then I went to add some stuff to it and it was gone, the whole service. Belly up, I suppose.

So I thought I'd ask yous guys.

OK, so here's another request: what should I look for if I want, I know I don't have the right word here, web server stuff too, like put out a MySQL database and some scripts. It's more than static pages, so I know they charge for that, but how much?

Media Temple. End of story. Hands-down. Your search is over. Basic plan is just $7.95 monthly with 2GB storage, 30GB rollover bandwidth, 1000 email addresses, 5 SQL databases, 5 websites, 100 sub domains, and static IP.

What really sets MT apart from everyone else, though, is their service and support. Bar none, the best I've ever had to deal with when it comes to totally customizing things to fit my needs.

Message me for details and/or questions.
