Sorry if that sounds a bit dramatic. I reckon I will never get this question answered - Numerous Googlings have come up with nothing.

About 7 years ago, a Canadian company who specialised in Trading Floor Systems for banking institutions, made a self contained trader's chair. It was motorised (it could rotate 360 Degress), came with it's own air-con, was customisable with modesty panels etc. and all sorts of storage. You could spec it with stuff to hold monitors, CD's etc. It was quite stunning. The chair was in an aluminium encolsure with a ceiling. Kind of like a litte pod. It was on the net back then and they had an info sheet in pdf format which you could DL. Somehow I lost mine and I have no idea what the company were called or what their web address is.

I really need to find out who made that chair and if they are still doing it. They were around $4000.00 Canadian each.

If anyone on here remembers it, or knows anything about it I would appreciate a reply. Didn't know where else to post this so I figured the lounge was as good a choice as any. It's worth asking.

Cheers

Thanks, but that is not the one. I do love that stuff though and may buy something, so thanks for the link. The one I am thinking of is around 8 feet tall and is not a full enclosure. It has a column at the back which attaches to the roof section where individual lighting, air conditioning etc. is stashed. Damn it - I'd just like to see it again so I could marvel at how cool it was, even if I couldn't buy one!

Huh. While looking for it, I came across another pretty rad website, for art. Sounds like you might have similar tastes:

That is very cool. I bought a few bits from them a while back but I had forgotten about those fellas. Very cool and kitsch stuff that you don't see every day.
