Been awhile since we had a gaming thread eh ? Well i stumbeled upon this and thought i might as well post something about it since its so cool.

I had skipped the N64 and PS1 generation of gaming cause the controller really looked intimidating to me. Anyway, so i was i nthe dorms and a friend had an N64 and he popped the game 'Conker's Bad Fur Day'...and that game was just so entertaining to watch. it was a really good game as far as production values and gameplays went imo. (even though i didnt play it).

So anyway...M$ bought off Rare(the guys who made this game) from Nintendo, and they remade the game for the XBox, the game is essentially a port, except the graphics have been souped up a heck of a lot. I especially love the fur rending. Oh and yes...the remake 'Conker Live and Reloaded' is an Xox exclusive. This is probably one of the preetiest games ive seen(in videos and screenshots at least) this generation. Oh and yeah theyre all in-game.

The game was amazing, just to watch when it was on the N64. I think the souped up graphics make it worth a purchase on the XBox. So if you own an Xbox, give this game a shot. Ive been looking around for 'Conker's Bar Fur Day' for N64 (Ill have to buy a second hand N64, but its a small price to pay for this game).
Incidentally, im quite surprised that the N64 could pull off such good visuals in its time as well.

Not since The Guy Game have I been prouder to own a GameCube.

Yes it is for Xbox only. I got as the N64 version was one of my fav games. This ones single player game is fun but I already know how to solve all the puzzles so it isn't so challenging. I need to try out muliplayer.

Oh and "The Guy Game" is no longer available for sale as they got sued.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is my favorite non-sports game of all time. It was one of the last games to come out for N64, so was largely overlooked, but because it came out so late it really pushed the N64 platform to its limits.

The humor was great (delightfully dirty), and the movie parodies were very well done, with the Matrix lobby scene at the end being my favorite.

There were some rather fun multiplayer modes as well, including a fun game of capture the flag.

Actually the company admitted that by the time the game came out (so late in the N64 cycle) the Nintendo has cornered the younger market. There were not enough adults to buy the game.

Oh and it bombed huge sales wise.

I've been a big Rare fan since the old Diddy Kong Country days and I believe they're the best platform developer in business today. When asked why they didn't make Conker for the GameCube, Rare's reply was: "It begins with 'M,' and ends with 'icrosoft owns Rare Studios.' lol

Also, my big disappointment was that they took out most of the raciest content in the game for some reason.

I'm so glad they remade the game tho, I think Conker just didn't get the credit he deserves.
