Does anyone follow it? WSOP link.

As of now, in the main event they're down to about 25 players from an original 5,619 who paid the $10,000 entry fee. The winner will get $7.5 million, with 560 players ending in the money. The other 5,000 have already lost all their money.

I notice that right now, Phil Ivey, a very well-known pro poker player is in 2nd place. Ivey is often called the Tiger Woods of poker mainly because he's black and perhaps bears a slight resemblance to Tiger. Last year's winner is also up there near the top.

Oddly enough, Jennifer Tilly - yes, that Jennifer Tilly - won the Ladies' Championship a few weeks ago.

She's dumb as a brick, but she is sleeping, errr rooming with? The Uni-Bomber and he's taught her everything he knows. Probably speaks poker in his sleep.

You can train a dog to play poker, I've seen it...

I love watching it on ESPN! I always root for Annie Duke, Like Phil Ivey, Annie's brother, too, what's his name? Love it. Love it. Love it.

BRussell, I knew I always liked you for a reason.

I've been glued to WSOP coverage via pokerwire.com and taopoker.blogspot.com for a couple weeks now. I watched a rerun of the end of the final table of the 2004 WSOP last night on ESPN. I just talked to one of the guys I play a regular game with, and we're both so excited.

Cheesy as it is, I'd like to see Raymer repeat. Everyone gives him ****, but I'd like to see him do it. I'm really happy Hellmuth and Arieh ate it early on. Tiffany Williamson is my current "amateur out of nowhere" that I'd like to see do well. Made it into the WSOP on some $10 satellite tourney. heh.

POKER!

Greg Raymer
I don't look at results. Poker is about decisions. And I am happy with the decisions I made this year.

Williamson went out last night, too. She put up a good fight, and outlasted 5000 players.

From taopoker.blogspot.com, "Mike Matusow raised with The Hammer (2-7 off). Shawn moved all in with the Hiltons (Q-Q) and his short stack. Mike called. Sahwn's Hiltons held up."

THE HAMMER!

I'm rooting for Andy Black now, just because he doesnt seem to yell and scream like Matusow the crybaby.

Hiltons?

Yeah you've got to root against Matusow, though he'll be fun to watch when it hits ESPN in a few weeks.

Hiltons = QQ = Paris and Nicky Hilton = A couple of queeny bitches. I'd heard the hand referred to as "sigfriend and roy", too, which is funnier IMO. heh.

The hammer comes from this guys page. http://pokergrub.com. Our weekly game has become pretty fond of the nickname...

re: Matusow, definitely.
