( Edinson :) is a good example of
American genius for making money
just like Gates.

Not leaps of imagination without measure or craft
beyond anything done before and the rest of the
offerings are also pretty weak.

Hey benign…making a profit or innovation and selling it does require…imagination.

The Americans you offer are all self serving.

So where is this benign cancerous troll from ?

The USA has been responsible for more modern innovations than any other place on the planet, including originally funding the predecessor to the internet, which lets such nonsmart people such as benign flaunt their ignorance and apparent lack of any proper education or knowledge whatsoever.

I am suprised that he is even able to access the internet, a feat which no doubt took him considerable time and effort, not to mention utilizing the majority of the few benign brain cells that he still has left.

If the third rate country which he originates from utilizes written books, then I suggest that he read a few, and this will spare him from any further unneeded embarrassment.

Most of these inventions were not completely original but improvements of earlier patents, and were actually made by his numerous employees. Edison was frequently criticized for not sharing the credits.

Are you Americans, bless your little cotton socks, most of the modern inventions are just icing on the cake. We Brits gave the world proper trains and steam and without that there is no modern world. Oh, and something no American would be without, the TV was invented by a Scotsman. Internet? A Brit. Concentration camps? A Brit. That's basically the ingredients of the modern world.

Not bad for a little, cold, and wet country.

Of course that's nothing compared to men like Einstein, Newton, or Darwin. Hey, wait a sec, Newton and Darwin were English too. But let's give you yanks a chance, you've only a couple of hundred years so far.

I second the vote for Richard Feynman. That one's not even the debatable. I'm not sure about any of the others mentioned. It depends on the criteria you are using to judge genius. Where are you from anyway, Benign?
Is it not reasonable to anticipate that our understanding of the human mind would be aided greatly by knowing the purpose for which it was designed?

If you are from where he is = genius
If you are from anywhere else = mild innovator build on ideas from his country

LOL! How can any European claim Einstein with a straight face? Oh, gee, I’m sorry, would that be the Einstein who had to flee Europe for America, to avoid being tossed in a gas oven? He WAS ours!

A more relevant question would be: “Intelligent Europeans: Were there any NOT tossed in an oven or forced to flee from some stupid fad ‘ism’ that their fellow countrymen were dumb enough to swallow hook, line, and sinker?”
