190 SL is OK but I would love to get a 300 SL.

Yeah, the new boxster is gorgeous. I like it's design better than the 911. The huge flares around the rear wheels are just so freaking sexy.

Angelmb - I didn't see any pix of mercs and so when you write 190 and 300 are you meaning the ones from the late 50s / early 60s? The 190SL is my dream car though I don't ever see myself owning one due as my pockets aren't that big.

I would have to wait and see the final product. No all that impressed by what I saw.

You sure that's an 1800? The front grille looks a bit tall...

I've seen p1800 grills restored just like that at Volvo shows. I could be completely wrong though.

I am sure you are totally wrong. That's the front of a classic Merc' SL300 (you can just see the edge of the star on the centre of the grill) Possibly a gullwing, but they also did a roadster that had regular doors, you can't really tell from that angle.
Odd fact: The SL300 is one of the very few classic cars where the Coupe, is always worth lots more than the roadster. Because of the unique doors.

I don't see the star in that photo, but I guess I'll take your word for it.

Yes, that red car at the left, it is a SL 190, right?
