Have You Tried Jack in the Box's Ciabatta Burger & Strawberry/Banana Shake?

It is a HUGE treat if you haven't tried it before and you will thank me when you do!

It is a 9.5 on a 10 scale.

Better than ANYTHING at McD's or Burger King. Wendy is the only Fast Food that comes close.

Yummmmmy!!!!

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

No thanks. If I want a Ciabatta burger I'll go to the Burger Factory, right around the corner from my office. Much higher quality than Jack in the Box.

When I go to Jack I order from the dollar menu. Nothing better than 3 bacon cheeseburgers and 6 tacos for $6.

What, prithee, is a "Ciabatta" burger? I'm not much of a fast food type most of the time, and I'm not terribly familiar with most menus.

And I'm not a fan of strawberry-banana-the flavors are too similar and yet too different.

Ciabatta's just a kind of bread, so a ciabatta burger uses ciabatta bread for the bun.

The strawberry banana shake, with heavy on the banana sounds delicious.

Thanks. I looked it up, and it's that slipper-shaped bread (ciabatta means "slipper" in Italian), and from the recipe, it should be delicious.

I'm still staying away from the strawberry-banana shake, though.

Well, you're in luck! ANY of the Jack in the Box shakes are especially yummier than any of their rivals'!

These are significant improvements over past JITB offerings. These shakes compare to the BEST shakes you can find anywhere.

Consistency - Thick and smooth but not too thick that it collapes the straw, not lumpy or grainy, not chalky tasting or full of filler, not non-fat milk...it is dreamy creamy!!!

I imagine it is like Mia's shake in Pulp Fiction.

Try one, any flavor will do.

Jack is Da MAN!

It's not Jack's strawberry-banana, it's ANY strawberry-banana that I don't like. When they did their capucino shake, we were there frequently to indulge. Their strawberry shakes are good, too. Just not the "SB" for me!

very good. and very large. unless i'm just really hungry it's a two-meal burger.

over the past couple of years they've really seemed to improve the overall quality of their food. but if they're going to continue with the "italianizing/europization" of their menu, adding more fanta flavors (exotica is great) would be nice.

mmmmm. italy. maybe the next time i get the ciabatta burger i'll open it up and smash some fries in there...

be well.

700/900/1410 Calories for a small/medium/large shake alone???

Why in the world would you want to do that to your body? I suggest simply getting a pound of butter and a quart of granola oil for lunch - nutritional values seem to be very similar.

But, wouldn't that be akin to conceiving a child in a petri dish?

The result might be the same but the enjoyment would be missing.

Hmmm ... "fast food = sex"? I dunno, I value **good** (= home cooked or prepped by a good chef in a restaurant) food as much as the next guy but I don't think I'd put food all the way up there with sex. Matter of personal POV, methinks.

Just make sure you enjoy it somewhat responsibly or ...

Awwwww, what a cute little obese boy. The parents are Dandies! First, letting their lad eat so much. Then, letting him go outdoors in public with normal people! Finally, allowing his image to be used in such a condescending manner. Permission HAD to be given by someone to SOMEONE for this photo to be (mis)used in this manner.

Junior Mr. Sportsman with his favorite sporting team's baseball cap. His fat rolls remind me of the skin on a Shar-pei. Or, like a foam rubber Hollywood fat suit.

Well, I appreciate your stopping by as a public service to caution against eating too much junk food. Seeing as how you don't equate fast food with good food, or with sex your presence here has to be out of the goodness of your heart (and to put down little fat boyz and those of us who like a good greasy burger and a deliciously creamy milkshake once in a while?) is a nice thing to do.

However, if you ever find it in your diet to splurge with the calories and cholesterol I offer this as THE tastiest burger/shake combo in the fast food world.

Considering JITB's problems in the early 90's... I wouldn't go near them with a stick.

Then again, I don't eat fast food. So the point is moot.

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Based on your posting, I tried a Ciabatta Bacon Burger with a Strawberry/Banna Milkshake along with an order of onion rings.

It was great. It was expensive.

See, that's cause you're not thinking it through. Since they had problems and those problems were so widely publicized they were put under vastly increased public and private scrutiny. The only way they could have survived that and continued to be as successful as they are is to have really cleaned up their act. It's because of their past problems that I'm confident that their food is safe.

Then again, I don't eat fast food. So the point is moot.
Yeah, me too really. Except the occasional 4am foray to the Jack in the Box drive-through, I absolutely will not eat that crap. Oh, and In and Out, In and Out is all good.
