As macroy said, there would probably be blood everywhere. Hopefully. If someone was in that car...

I was driving on a mountain road which had been dug right thru the rock. On one side of the road was a wall of stone going straight up. 90 degrees, perpendicular to the road.

When I rounded one corner I noticed a car pointed straight up. The trunk was in the ditch, the wheels were on the mountain-side, and the front of the car was at the top. Basically it was standing on end, resting against the mountain. It was like the car suddenly learned how to walk, on its rear bumper.

The driver and passenger were standing by the car, and there was no gross damage that instantly obvious. To this day I still don't understand how they could have managed that, not get hurt, and have no obvious damage.

Intriguing. No debris anywhere? I'd expect at least some glass on the tarmac.
Also, what happened to the engine block? If this is supposed to have been a head on collision then the smaller car should display damage similar to this:

Head on with a truck at 60mph. The passenger cell should have, at least partly, withstood the impact and the car should have been pushed backwards as energy was dissipated.

It's under the truck's front bumper.

Doubt it. See how the truck rests on it's tires? The engine should have been caught by the axle and the car pushed back.

I have seen the rest of the pictures. There are indeed two very flat people in there. You ask where the stuff all went? On the headliner. I kid you not.

It quite unsettling to see first thing in the morning reading my email. (butthead ogrish-loving friends)

Whenever I drove my small Honda around town, I always felt very... unsafe... around SUVs. I mean the damned bumpers on SUVs were at the same level as my face when I was driving.

So much for the safety tests. Those folks probably be alive right now if they were driving an SUV.

I've been around big trucks like that. Trust me. Most of that **** is underneath the front bumper. Trucks don't really have much behind that bumper, and it isn't as strong as you'd think. There's kinda a big empty space behind the front bumpers of cabovers like that.

Great. Thanks for that Tooki. Now you've pissed off everyone looking at this thread rather than just the few on dial-up who had to wait for a JPG to download before. Nice job.

It's not about dialup, it's about layout distortion. End of discussion, I will delete any further posts in this thread about this, since it's derailment.

For those who didn't see the original image, it was the back end of a car (b-pillar back) sticking out from under the front of a cab-over truck. No blood, nothing gory.

Really guys, you're making a fuss over nothing. Not that big of a deal - just the back end of a car sticking out from under the front of a cab-over.

There is no problem with this. The original image was vastly too huge, hence its deletion.

But we edited the same image at the same time to the same exact size.
What are the odds?

I could have set it to 40 percent or even 55 percent... but I just changed the width pixels
to something I thought was fair in size.

Why the confusion?
Inline Images
Inline images may not be wider than 480 pixels, nor taller than 720 pixels, UNLESS the thread title includes "Picture Thread", "JPEG Orgy" or something to that effect.
