I've fallen in love with the Swiss Army Minichamp, especially because it's only $20. I don't know whether to get the Midnite Minichamp (has an LED) or the regular one, though. Does anyone know how the brightness of Swiss Army lights compares to that of Photo Micro lights?

So is this thing small enough to place on a keychain? I noticed it comes with a key ring.

No.
Edit: Whoops. You were serious, MOS. I thought you were being sarcastic in an attempt to make fun of my constant keychain obsession. It's definetely small enough to fit comfortably, in my opinion. It's really not that thick at all.

MOS it depends on your definition. It's the standard "mini" Swiss Army Knife length, but about 2 to 2 1/2 times as thick.
I have lately been reducing what's on my keyring, so I wouldn't go with it as a keyring item, but I'd keep it in my bookbag...

Gotcha, thanks for the information, I appreciate it. I've had (2) of the normal Swiss Army (Victorinox) keychain versions taken away from me when I forgot to take it off when traveling and flying. Oh well, at least the Airport security catches that stuff.

I was in line at the airport once when some woman had an 8 inch pair of scissors in her purse. When they said she couldn't take it with her she called her husband to come pick them up from security

They were probably quite expensive scissors. A friend of mine is a seamstress and could easily pay $50 for a good quality pair of scissors.
Airports are one reason I stopped carrying so much junk on my keyring. I also used to carry a Gerber folding knife/pliers and a Mini Maglight on my belt-definitely not something you want to wander into an airport with.
