I agree with you there... I just wanted to see what it was like and all I have is a Mac, and since I'm not a gamer in any way. No Xbox, no nothing, I thought someone like myself in here would want to know this...

Oh def... Its a cool game... I was kinda hoping by your post that they had Halo 2 ported to the Mac... It would be cool to see the difference.

I played Halo on the Xbox but never enjoyed multiplayer because of the split-screen business. And I couldn't play Halo on my Mac because my Mac wasn't powerful enough.
Now I have an iMac G5, so I downloaded the demo. Holy crap! Multiplayer Halo is fun. I'm tempted to buy the game, but then I won't ever leave the house.

Oh, good. Only 6 years late. Does that beat the Diablo wait? I forgot how long Diablo took to get to the Mac.

I mean for under $200 you can have an Xbox, controller and halo 2. What's all this waiting for a Mac version crap?

Halo 3 will be out for XBox 360 next spring, just a few weeks before Sony releases the PS 3...

Go to a game store, get all that crap used, and there you go... then this winter and/or early spring pick up a new xbox360 or ps3

As usual, the Mac fanatics try to downplay the PC gaming industry. They will change their mind as soon as Macs finally run Windows.

I don't think I will, but then again, I'm not a gamer. Of course when I get that Xbox or PS3, then I'll become one... I don't need to play games on my Mac, I'd rather have a dedicated game console.

The PC gaming industry is in danger of becoming a secondary market to console gaming. Look at sales of titles on consoles versus sales for PCs – consoles outnumber, sometimes by two or three to one. Ubi's recent decision not to release Ghost Recon 2 for PC is a harbinger of this, as Ghost Recon is one of the best selling PC video games ever.

Oh, trust me... I had my days where I was solely a "PC" gamer... I was a zealot really.
And its funny when my friend convinced me to buy an x-box, a machine solely designed to meet the performance of the game. It was awesome. The controller was amazing, and the ease of use without installing was incredible.
PC's sure have superior hardware to say an PS2 or X-Box... however you have to buy the superior hardware to achieve the game performance. Furthermore there is a huge difference of 150 bucks on an x-box compared to 3,000 bucks on a Alien-ware gaming machine. And I bet that you could hardly tell the difference. PC games are made to fit an array of different specifications.
