New iBooks and Mac mini
Mac mini has 512Mb and AE, third model as 1.42Ghz but with a Superdrive.
iBooks
$999 12" 1.33Ghz 40Gb
$1299 14" 1.42Ghz 60Gb,
both with 512Mb, AE and BT 2.0.
And the iBooks have the Powerbooks drive motion sensor and scrolling touch pad.

Don't know what difference that card will make (Core Image?), its still 32Mb. System bus is 133 or 142MHz, was this 1/10th processor speed before???
100Gb hard drive option, 1.5Gb RAM option
Mac mini 1.42GHz has built in AE and BT (not 2.0), options on 1.25GHz.
Store still down.

anyone else not buying due to the screen resoloution?
this thing has EVERYTHING I want but a decent screen =/
of course if it did have a better screen I guess it would be a Powerbook
price is awesome as well, but 1024x768 just does not cut it anymore

What these updates probably will be are the last PowerPC laptop updates, if the next update for these machines is in around 6 months from now (roughly MWSF time), then the next iBook and mini are likely to be Intel chips.

I think the resolution is fine for the 12", but a bit lacking for the 14" IMHO. For me, the resolution is perfect for checking email, making presentations, surfing the web, etc.

Damn it, the 12" still hasn't got a superdrive!! This marketing non-sense.

Yup, still not buying either. I would if it had the superdrive. I guess I should change my sig; I sold my 12" powerbook already and was hoping to replace it with the 12" iBook.

I'm getting one. I have to if you read about my jacked up (last) week. I went for the 80gig option and I'll add a 512 when it comes in.
