Here is the Riddle:

A Man is pointing at a painting and says: "Brothers and sisters have I none, but this man's father is my father's son." Who is the man in the painting?

I have a friend who is arguing with me over the answer, this riddle came up recently and it is pretty good mind bender.

Any guesses out there?

The man in the painting is his son.

was correcting while you were posting. that's what i get for reading too quickly. i *think* my edited response (the viewer's son) would fit the equation.

The question is, do they share a mother?
