I'm currently on ATT Wireless, with a shared family plan for my mom, dad, sister and myself. It's
much cheaper than separate plans. In any case, ATT Wireless is now Cingular Wirelss, and we need to either upgrade to Cingular phones (because ours are getting old), or pay a lot of money for basic left-over ATT Wireless phones.
I'm quite happy with my phone (a SE T637), and I use the Calendar feature, combined with iSync and bluetooth, to really organize my life. I need that functionality in a phone, but Cingular no longer carries anything like the T637.
I see the RAZR, but it's $199. On Amazon, though, it's free after special offers. Would these special offers apply to me? I'm technically a Cingular customer, but with an ATT phone. I wouldn't be getting a new plan. Perhaps it would be classified as an upgrade. I assume that I wouldn't be qualified for the special offers on Amazon?
Furthermore, if I somehow was qualified for the special offer on Amazon.com (perhaps this switch involves a new plan of sorts...my mom's the one dealing with the technicalities, and hasn't elaborated much), could I buy my phone from there, and have the rest of my family do it via a Cingular store, even though we're on the same plan? Does the pricing change if we're getting multiple phones for one family plan? Can every member of my family just use Amazon.com? I'm not familiar with the process of buying phones on Amazon. Does the plan have to be purchased on Amazon, too?
Any help would be appreciated
