I don't like to throw them away, but I never use them. I think I might just toss them from now on. You?

I Keep everything in the box it came in that I don't need right now. Future buyers appreciate having a complete package and that include all of the little clips and bags.

I usually don't plan on selling things in the future, as the purchase then feels very temporary. It's a good idea, though.

So you just throw away your computers when you are done with them?

I haven't had enough computers to really answer that properly. My family's first computer was running Windows 3.1, and I think we may have donated it when it got outdated. The next computer was bought in '97, and we used it up until about a year ago, when it died and got trashed. Those are the only computers that we've ever gotten rid of, but perhaps you're right: When I'm done with my PB, I might want to sell it. The PB box would indeed be a good place to put the caps. Hope I still have it.

Both. The Firewire caps have the extension that keeps the cap attached to the cable. For some, like the iPod dock's, I keep in a drawer.

More convenient than not using them at all?
They're packaging. I'll keep packaging around for couple of days, until I know I haven't just bought a lemon, then throw it all away. Well, obviously, I send all the paper and plastic for recycling

I melt them by the heat generated from my PowerBook G4 in a matter of seconds...easier than throwing them away.

I think I have around 8 or 9 lying on my messy-ass desk somewhere.

I leave them in the boxes -- though I lost the one for my power adaptor! Usually I throw the plastic wrappers away though, those are pretty useless.
It's fun to come back and find a nice pristine box with all the little ding dongs once you've had the computer/ipod/whatever for a nice long time.. it's like opening it all over again!
BTW: I never throw my computer boxes away! Those tend to be useful for storing things or the computers themselves -- especially the monitor boxes lol, I use one for my printers since it's JUUUST the right size.

I leave them wherever... the one that came with the keyboard is still kind of hanging on the keyboard cord.

I've never sold a computer. I use them until they break or become so obsolete that selling them wouldn't be worth the trouble. Generally, I just donate them to family.

I do IT for an all-mac company, so I have quite a few of them. I keep some of them around just because they sometimes come in handy when a cable stops being needed for whatever reason. Most of them go straight into the trash though. It's not like I'm going to ever need the caps for the keyboard cables again.
