I just bought the 9-piece Value Meal. Not bad at all actually, I was pleasantly surprised. They have a good batter on them and dipping them in the supplied ranch was great. The cup they are placed in is designed to fit in your car's cup holder, and the cup itself has a spot to place the dipping sauce in. I don't promote eating while driving; however, this is a smart solution I think.

Sweet, I'll definitely give that a try...thanks!

If you want some good 'burb chicken fingers, try Village Tavern & Grill in Schaumburg/Carol Stream.

Tried them yesterday. No coincidence I expelled more gas over the next few hours than I do in a typcial week.

However, as delicious as they were, I thought the TV ad and website coqroq.com are a bit dumb, as they've got more allusions to oral sex than I've ever seen get past the FCC.

I'd never heard of those things until this thread. Thanks again, TiVo. Anyway, I have a weakness for fast food chicken, but I'm trying to give it up. Now I only eat the occasional Chick-Fil-A sandwich—giving up Chick-Fil-A is beyond unreasonable. I still shudder when I remember being exiled in Michigan without CFA.

Spare me. Some idiot goes on a McBinge for a month are becomes fat and unhealthy. Ooooooo, shocking. Most things in excess are bad: fast food, booze, masturbation. Doesn't mean that occasional indulgences are going to kill you.

Yah, it is nasty. The cream filling in Oreos is nasty. Balogna is nasty. Chicken nuggets are nasty. Wow. Thanks for the news flash.

Still tastes good sometimes.

Spare us instead. What you consider tasty is not the "chicken". It is amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamyl valerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl acetate, ethyl amyl ketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl heptylate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerate, heliotropin, hydroxyphenyl-2-butanone (10 percent solution in alcohol), a-ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butyrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbonate, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl salicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobutyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum ether, g-undecalactone, vanillin, and solvent, all produced by IFF and sold to fast food companies. The same company that produces the scents for Calvin Klein, Lancombe and other perfumes, scented water that is sold for $100 for a little bottle

Lesson to be learned. Number one: Buy your ingredients and cook fresh food. It's tastier and lighter on the stomach and wallet. Number two: Have a bath, stinky.

That wasn't the point of the movie. I thought the same thing, which is why I didn't see it. I borrowed it from a friend, and ... well, my opinion has changed. It's not that it's unhealthy, lots of things are unhealthy, it's that it's DISGUSTING.

It isn't even really chicken meat, it's ...chicken... product. Loaded with chemicals to make it taste better, because it's such awful chicken to start with. Seriously, check out that movie from someone who has it. It's very informative, and it doesn't just say "Oh my god it made me fat!". It goes into how that 'food' has affected his blood tests, his brain, his body, and even his mood. It's quite scary.

Yah, I understand it is a load of shite that is hosed into a corner and filled with chemical goodness before it is dipped into suspicious batter and fried in artery clogging transfatastical grease. Yes, it is completely horrible for you. Anyone who is oblivious to this fact is the same breed of idiot that needs warning labels on ciggies.

My point is, sometimes pure crap food hits the spot.

Lesson to be learned: Never go into "healthy food" aisles and blow $6 on a loaf of bread, $8 on a bag of lettuce, $5 on a bag of croutons, and $8 on a bottle of healthy dressing because it has "healthy" buzzwords in it.

Anyone who isn't a total dumbass knows you can eat just about anything on the planet and be perfectly fine and healthy. The trick is to not make a habbit out of it, and personally I like being random, not training myself to make people who make those fancy overpriced packages of "health food" rich.

If you can't think for yourself, and need to rely on some idiot from Hollywood to tell you that eating certain kinds of food constantly for a month is bad for your health, then your opinion doesn't matter.

I dunno man. I shop at an all organic grocery store, and it's a TINY bit more expensive, but for the most part it's about the same. You don't have to spend a lot to get a lot of healthy food. Lately, I've just been loading up on produce, then during the week I just chop it all up, heat up the wok with a tad of olive oil, and throw er in for a few minutes with some brown sugar, soy, and lime juice. It's tasty, healthy, and it costs about ... I'd say $2 per meal, per person. Probably less really.

Indeed,

I highly recommend this movie,

I will not eat at any fast food place again. I haven't read through the entire thread [yet] and since I don't frequent Burger King I'm not sure what this is. Based upon what other's wrote it a deep dried chicken paste. That looks and sounds gross.

The one most notable aspect of that movie was in the DVD extras.

Morgan Spurlock puts a big mac, fries and something else I forget under glass. He then watches what happens as the days and weeks click by. He also put under glass a hamburger and fries from a local pub that was presumably made fresh as a control.

The fresh stuff turned rancid and the like pretty quickly. The Mickey D's stuff didn't

The most disturbing part was the french fries never turned. They looked good as new as the weeks went by.

I'm sorry but if food product doesn't break down in the air, I'm certainly not going to eat it.

While Morgan did eat for all of his meals he used nationally accpeted statistics and trends to show the unhealthy aspects of fast food.

I went to McDonalds when I was 16 or 17 in my charger. One of the fries fell under the seat. Before I sold the car, I cleaned it very well, and I found said french fry, which was at that point OVER three years old. It hadn't even changed.

My high school sells delicious chicken fries (for the past 3 years or more)... and happens to be across the street from a Burger King... I think BK stole the idea from our cafeteria.

The last time I went into a Burger King was for a bathroom break while on a road trip. I haven't eaten anything from McDonalds or Burger King in about 9 years.

Panera Bread or Atlanta Bread Company is about as "fast food" as I get. Personally, I'm with suvsr4terrorists and the other organic food eating people. I'll go out to eat, but I won't be all that happy about it. I'd rather eat at home where I know the ingredients are fresh and also know who's handling the food.

Let me put it this way...I went to Sticky Fingers about two months ago. When my food came out, right in between the side dishes, there was a USED finger bandage that slipped off of someone when they put the sides on the plate. To say the least I was not a happy camper. Stuff like that seems to always happen to me so I don't bother with restaurants much anymore.

I usually eat whatever/whenever I want. Fast food or whatever is fine with me. Most of it taste good anyways. I might give those chcken strips a try later on, but as a general rule, I try not to eat out because it is costly and when I do, it is 99% of the time Chinese food.

I think my new form of fast food is going to be those meal replacement bars they sell at GNC. They're actually priced relatively cometitively compared to a non home made meal. As well they taste fine, and they're actually pretty good for you.
Once I started working out I progressively craved crappy food less and less, and less. Now the only times I've been to McD's or BK have been with my dad or friends. And even then I try and encourage going to real resurants. But people are cheap . Either way... when I now think of how much fast food I used to eat... I'm really disgusted.
Since I cut out a lot of the fast foods, coke, since I cut out pop, since I started taking vitamins, etc... I have never felt happier and more in control of my own life. Granted I'll still occationally buy a few doughnuts from Safeway, or I'll go out for Gelato with friends, or something like that, it's very diferent to have it even twice a week than it is to have it daily and just because you don't want to make anything. That said it is hard not to eat junk food when you live at home, because I'm not the one buying the groceries, and I have to put up with whatever is bought.

For them there reasons I think McD was all cool with the film. This creates a trend where they tell people how bad thing are for them and then at the same time, keep pumping out more. A. you have health nuts telling you that eating this and that will give you cancer, make you fat so you won't be able to get laid and B. you have the other side, saturating the field with more fat and sugar. Pure mind fkucking. welcome to century 21.

low carb == bad. Carbohydrates are one of the 3 macronutrients (along with protein and fat) your body needs.

Now, that said, you need to do your best to avoid processed, refined, and simple carbs. White flour, refined sugar, CORN SYRUP (that means SODA), etc. Lose 'em. Eat whole grains.

The ratio you want is 40% Protein, 30% Fat (minimize the Saturated and Trans Fats), 30% Carbs. And watch your total calories.
Use Fit Day to track all this. Its free

Am I the only person who never really cared about what the food experts say? I mean, I never eat breakfast, I never eat 3 meals a day, I don't watch my fat, carbs etc. Me, I eat when I'm hungry. I usually only one eat one meal a day with some snacking in there. Some days I end up not eating at all. I eat a good mix of fast food, home cooked, and junk food. However, I don't get fat, I haven't been sick in over 4 years, and I feel fine. And I have been doing this for over 20 years now (I'm 30). Just goes to show that the nutritional info that you see around is only a general guide that does not apply to everyone even though they try to say it does.

Go figure you're not normal. You get a brown star. You've probably always been skinny and you may always be skinny. That said... until we see a picture we won't know if you're sexy...

By the way, I warn you, it is dangerous to talk like this around fat people... remember... we can crush you out of sheer frustration...

The ratio you want is 40% Protein, 30% Fat (minimize the Saturated and Trans Fats), 30% Carbs. And watch your total calories.
Use Fit Day to track all this. Its free

It's more like 50-70% Carbs, 15-25% Protein & Fat.

I agree one should try to limit one's intake of fatty and unhealthy foods. Eating out too often- particularly at fast food places can take a toll on one's body. However, I wouldn't base my eating habits merely on what's "gross" or not-- You can make a point that all supplement is gross.

And though I appreciate the message that Supersize me was trying to get across, I think they used somewhat low-handed psychological methods to do so. Also, it doesn't seem rational or "average" to me for someone to have McDonald's for breakfast lunch and dinner every day for an extended period, specially when the guy was eating a very healthy and vegetarian diet just prior to that. How can you not expect a negative change, regardless of the food? And the video of the vomit was unnecessary and just what I'm taking about.

Suffice to say that I won't be going out of my way to try one of these new "chicken sticks". If I somehow end up at a BK though, I might check it out if it doesn't look too bad.

Actually Salty Chicken, I was just letting you slide on the stupid sh*t you posted. Check it, it's obvious that you wear your insecurity on your sleeve. I said that "I" do not have problems with my weight and nor do I have what people call a healthy eating habit yet "you" get offended. That is nothing but insecurity on your part.

If you actually took the time the understand what I was saying you would realize that my post was more about one diet not fitting everyone even though the specialists say it is good for everyone.

Why are you even worried about if I'm sexy? I'm not one to really worry about if other guys are sexy. Plus, it seems that a lot other people here have seen and remember how I look.

And another tip, I wouldn't go around claiming that you are going to crush someone. I'll leave it at that.

So, why don't you do me a favor and STFU with your stupid, insecure, dumb, and idiotic statements. I'm sure ManOfRickey would like his thread back. Peace.
