Well, I never cared for Reebok. So I will stick with the Adidas brand. Hope that deal turns out better than the Adidas - Salomon deal...

Some people bought reebok because of the lack of tasteless "trendy" design.

You forget that Reebok only became popular back in the late 80s when white leather or pastel pink low-tops and similarly "boring" design was trendy as all hell.

Actually they became popular around here because in the 80s they were the "new" thing.

I don't ever recall what was trendy. The only rebooks I owned were black.

I don't wear shorts, or white "tennis socks"

You'll usually see me in jeans or dockers. Very rarely do I even wear tennis shoes.

I never liked Reebok (how silly is it to have an Autobahn symbol as company logo?) My current running shoes are Saucony.

They're reeboks.

To be fair: I loved my grey/white Reebok hi-tops and wore them literally 'til they fell apart.

And those fugly design spaceboots do seem to be the exception for Reebok, who've basically stuck to the 80s designs for most of their products.

For those who don't get this reference, here the symbol for the German Autobahn, compared to the Reebok logo.

There is some resemblance...

*shrug* I never understood the appeal.

And the only people I see wearing those dorky shoes are gansta wanna bes.

And you can't really SEE their shoes because their pants hang down past them.

Get the nationality right. Wouldn't be an Autobahn sign, it would be a Motorway one, as Reebock was founded as an English company (in Bolton, also the reason for there Reebok sponsored stadium).
UK Motorway sign, lots of subtle differences.

That's why they had a UK flag next to the word Reebock on there trainers for most of the 80's, until they where bought by some US company.

Too bad they're all now made in Viet Nam out of crappy, thin material. No more tough canvas construction anymore.

I'll stick to my Vans and Doc Martens.

Shoes are ugly nowadays. I've been wearing the same pair for a year now simply because I havent seen any I liked. They're either white or black, both get filthy fast. I want a nice looking pair of grey shoes, and not hikers, runners. I may have to buy a skater shoe, cause they're the only ones that look half decent and come in a variety of colours.

Reeboks have always sucked anyways imo.

Is this the second time you've posted this? Or is it deja vu all over again?

EDIT: Did a search. Greenamp said the same thing. Sorry.

I don't wear sneakers at all but if I did I'd wear Adidas or Puma. There's something that is just a bit more cool about Adidas and Puma.

I wear these in various colors all year long.

Yeah, I really like Timberlands because I can get them in different colors and they never seem to go out of style. I mean, I could literally wear a 10 year old pair and still be in style. Also, they are comfortable and waterproof.

True, but I agree with those who critize Christians for coming up with their own swear words.

Why would God be more pleased with frickin' than fcukin ? And darn than damn ? And shoot than sh!t ?

It never made sense to me. It is just a game the American Church and Christians like to play...

I am not too sure what God would care about. I guess it's what is in your heart that matters.

It's not the WORD that is bad. It's the fact that the word has been deemed bad. And being Christians should not used it BECAUSE of that reason.

Using a word that isn't bad in place of it would be showing an attempt to distance yourself from the bad action.

IMHO.
