Ok, this one's tough.

There's a guy at work who started singing this one part of a song and neither of us knows the name of it or who did it. The problem is, there are no lyrics to look up.

Someone I asked think it's by Des'ree but we can't verify that.

It's a real annoying tune. Goes "ba da dee, ba da dum" or something like that. It's recent and I think it's an R&B tune.

Any ideas?

I don't think you're talking about a recent song. It sounds like "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)" by Crystal Waters from 1991.

The chorus goes "la da dee, la da da, la da dee, la da da."

All of the links I can find seem to have the lyrics wrong, so I'll write out the first verse:

"She wakes up early every morning
Just to do her hair now, because she cares y'all
Her day wouldn't be right without her makeup
She's never had a makeup
She's just like you and me
But she's homeless, she's homeless
And she's stands there, begging for money

la da dee, la da da" (repeat)

Exactly what I was thinking of after I read the post.

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

See, we can get along, starman.

That's my favorite annoying song ever. There was also a hilarious parody done on "In Living Color."

Sorry. I can only find Vanilla Ice ("White White Baby") and Shabba Ranks ("Mr. Ugly Man").

Go buy/rent the DVDs. Not sure what season they are up to; nor what season that spoof was in.

In season 3, episdoe 8U27, they had all the music video/song paradies, so you might be able to track that down to download.
