Was wondering if you know how to get FREE supplies from the USPS. I am putting some CDs on eBay and want to save some money.

Pick up the envelopes/etc from the mailers at a USPS branch office. There is a section in the store to buy things (the fancy boxes and evenlopes); but there is also the free ones used for 2 day shipping. Don't take dozens at a time obviously, but go in and grab a couple the next time you drive by. I'ver never had to pay for those envelops and I grab a couple each time i'm in there to do other business.

is it ok to mail a CD in just the envelope or should i just play it safe and put the CD in a case too?

Thanks for the info. I finally found the area on their site to order free stuff. Very cool. You can get really large quantities. They apparently do not CD/DVD mailers for free however, but I just ordered some envelopes that are close in size.

I guess you really CAN get some stuff for free in this world!

Yeah, the padded CD size envolopes I haven't found free. But I keep bubble wrap around and just use normal cardboard 2day envelops for it. Glad you found what you need/and or works
