It was a Digital Audio. Essentially a QuickSilver in a older style case.

Still quite worthy. Have one myself...

What an absolute waste... could have given that system so someone. How fast were they, at least 600Mhz right? That thing could have run Tiger fine, would have been great to give to a student who couldn't afford a computer.

If you RTFA (jesus, this place is turning into slashdot) it says the system was taken dead from work. I guess modding a dead system isn't that bad even if it is tasteless.

Problem though is that many people, especially IT folks and PC users, consider a Mac to be 'dead' if it does anything other than complete a full boot to the desktop.
