Here is an interesting article related to recent postings in this forum.

"Tim Lucas' minstry [Liquid] gained national attention recently at a Gay Pride event in New Jersey...

Yes, like we need ONE MORE thread about gays and Christians.

The original this week

http://forums.macnn.com/89/macnn-lounge/265947/bigotry-funny-when-isnt-happening-you/ (Salty seems to like to make these..)

One spun off from it that should have been posted in the same thread above.

http://forums.macnn.com/89/macnn-lounge/265959/this-is-sad-day-americas-children/

And now this.

Did you read the interview? It's a very serious take on the issue.
I'm not here to spam blogs or whatnot. BTW, some people might find the interview interesting. Just because you don't, doesn't mean I should not be allowed to refer to it.

tgags I am not saying you shouldn't be allowed to refer to it.

I am saying there are other thread about this subject already in progress.

That instead of posting a NEW redundant thread about the SAME subject. You should have posted this tidbit in one of said already running threads.

It makes things a lot less flamey.

OK, perhaps I should have posted it in the other thread.
But as far as 'wrong forum' I don't quite understand that. It's not about the blog at all. Perhaps I should have copied the interview text and pasted in the thread.

Again, I found the interview very interesting, and I thought others might too. With some of the topics I have seen here, not sure why I am getting flack.

If not interested, just don't click on the post. But please allow it for those who might find it an interesting read. (and IMO it is an interesting, intellectual, serious read.

Heh, it's always fun to watch a n00ber defend himself.

Here's to hoping this spirals downward into a "freedom of speech" thread...

had a fascinating conversation with a black drag queen at Liquid’s recent outreach to the gay community. My African-American friend was wearing an orange kilt and was a large man— about 6’5, pushing 250 lbs— and clearly gay. When he learned I was a follower of Christ, he said: “Oh, I could never be a Christian.”
When I asked him why not, he replied: “Honey, unless you got a magic wand, I don’t think I’m gonna be white and Republican anytime soon!”
Bwahhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa

Awesome!!!!!

What's this?...A gaggle of christian right wing extremists bashing gays again and trying to intimidate a poster.

Yes it does get boring.

This is from the adult who posts idiotic pictures to derail threads and speaks in tongues or jibberish babble (well I guess that is a Christian thing I could never understand).

That knee jerking is a tick I have. Don't bash the handicapped.

Dadgum, I think you're confusing me with someone else, man. Mind you, when a thread turns to crap, I may post something like this:

As for the "speaks in tongues" thing, I don't where you buy your crack, but you ought to check out the supplier. I don't "speak in tongues," never said I did/have, never commented on it before, and you just popped off another baseless attack on a faith you know nothing about by saying what you did.

And you wonder why people mock these threads?

You guys take teh interweb too seriously.

Maury

I shouldn't even have to read the thread titles concerning gays and religion, as there is a seperate forum for that kind of stuff.

Is that clear Moronic Noobster ?

edit: that should read Atomic Rooster, my keyboard is acting up again.

How many more posts do we need saying how many more gay threads do we need?

Sorry about the redundancy of topic, but honestly, I was seriously looking for feedback realated to the interview. Is that not what the lounge is for? You know, if woody would have gone straight to the police...

One more.

Plus One.
IBM or IBL.

No, the Lounge is exactly for what you see in this thread... sort of. The Political Lounge encompasses Religion as well so it would be more appropriate to be placed in there, so I request hither-to or whatever that a mod maybe move it to the Political Lounge for further discussion, or even delete this one so you can begin fresh in that more proper venue.

Good Luck.
You'll need it.

I didn't realize this would be more for the Politics forum.
But OK, I now see the point. Sorry, I'm fairly new to this site.

Can the moderators move it? I can edit it, but I don't think I can delete it.

C'mon Zimphire you know you like them. Scrolling through this thread I noticed that about 1/4 of the posts were by you. Gay threads for whatever reason seem to be a decent pass-time for you.

Put gay, US or Canadian in a title and watch him fill it with 80% of all posts being his.
He doesn't do over 110 posts on many occasions for nothing you know.
