Is it just me (probably), and just my area (Chicago), or has it been really really really hot for outside training all summer long? I've been running since about '95, and I don't ever remember it being this bad! I can't remember the last Monday where I did a run that didn't feel miserable because of the humidity. I was just going to do 8 miles at 6:30 PM, and I was very happy to do just 4 miles - I was a steaming pile of sweat by the end of it. Is it this bad elsewhere in the U.S., or the world?

Adverse training is suppose to help you on marathon day... so we'll see.

It's not you. In Minneapolis, I've skipped more than my fair share of training days because I really didn't want to die in the 95+ degree heat. I have an inline marathon coming up in 2 weeks. I expect it to be 90 at the start.

Training is training- do what you can in the weather at hand... Keep up the good work! But yes, even New England has been nasty in that respect this year.

No, it's cold as sh1t here in Germany (65-70° f), and I actually had to dig out a sweater the other day and wear a jacket on top of it. Plus it rains for 5 days, then you have 2 days of sun...then back to the rain.

I guess I whish I had your problems...

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?
