Does anyone know a realatively inexpensive place to get an unlocked quad band GSM phone? Need it for travel. Ideally I'd be able to strap a data cable on to it and use it as a modem, but at this point I'm not so fussy.

www.telestial.com has some phones. Dunno about the price you consider inexpensive.

I can vouch for Expansys. Bought a Nokia 6170 from them on a whim. I quickly remembered I hate flip-phones/clamshells/whatever... So I bought my trusty 6230i. I even had a problem with my order (my fault). They called me to straighten it out. Good service.
