I say - Take frequent breaks from whatever you do and breathe deeply 10 times.

I say - Fight for the things you know are right and good. Don't give up. Lose or win. One can't appreciate anything one gets without effort. Simple as that.

Of course you would love your kids, but you should establish control over the kids (and random adults) right from the beginning and using the least amount of force as possible, then once you see they will follow your lead, SHOW you love them unreservedly.

If they ever show signs of being unresponsive to love, re-exert control.

Loving children without having established control and they will defy you and disrespect you.

This is not to feed your out of control ego or need for power (get these problems addressed before you spawn) but to be able to help your child benefit from your hard earned experiences and help them jump a level.

The love you take is equal to the love you make.

Yes - Optimus Prime's song when he shows up and kicks the crap out of everyone... and he would have finished off Megatron if stupid Hot Rod hadn't got in the way...

The song is "The Touch" by Stan Bush.

Heh heh. Gotta love Stan Bush. "Dare" is another great song from that soundtrack. Die, Optimus Prime!

There can be few people who do not know that Berkeley Square in London is pronounced with the sound of lark, and Berkeley in California with the sound of lurk.

Life is like a crap sandwich.
The more bread you have, the less crap you have to eat.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

We sometimes adopt coping mechanisms to protect our tender souls from the repercussions of ill-advised actions. Youthful innocence and other ignorance can lead us to make serious mistakes...can leave permanent scars.

That's why parents need to not only love, but control their kids.
