I posted this in the application forum but still no help.
I would like to be able to convert my pictures from current size to 100kb using iPhoto.
I know you can export as a different size, but to get it down to or close to 100kb, it is all done by trial and error.

If I cannot do this with iPhoto, can any one recommend a way for me do this with another app?

I would guess so....To post them on the site, they need to be 100kb or under.

Do you have photoshop elements? The 'web export' function makes this fairly simple, although you still have to do them one at a time.

Try GraphicConverter if you don't have any of Adobe's tools. You're going to have to play with the image because if it's "big" and simply reduce the quality to fit 100k, it may look like crap. Or, you may be able to resize the image and keep it 90% quality.

Point being, you ARE going to have to do some trial and error or you'll lose total control of the final output image.

This is a good application for quickly and easily reducing the size (both h&w and bytes) of photos.

100k each? that sounds like a bit much. You probably want them to be 30k or below. You can get great quality for your efforts.

You could try Debabilizer. It is perfect for what your looking for, but it is not cheap.
