OK, for those that don't know London Drugs is kind of like... I dono a cross between walmart and shoppers drugmart or something. I dono it's a weird store they do lots of weird lil things. But they have a fairly large electronics dept that happens to sell Macs. Well I was in there with some friends and a lady was talking to a sales person. I heard her says she wanted to use MSN on her mac mini to talk to her son in Quebec like voice chat and she wanted a mic to do it. I walked over and was like, excuse me but I heard you were wanting to use MSN to do that, sorry the version for OS X doesn't support that. However if you would like to use iChat AV which is actually better I can show you how. And I explained everything to her, then showed her how to on the iMac G5 they had on display. Then helped her find a mic and stuff.
I actually spent a good ten minutes helping her (turns out the mini doesn't have a mic in which for the record is complete bull on Apple's part!).
Anyway, the sales guy was actually impressed and thanked me since he didn't know as much as me... I jokingly asked if they had any spots open he said, I actually thought about that but sadly we don't have any openings but... why don't you drop off a resume and I'll keep it on file.
So who knows... that said the commute out there would be brutal so i don't know if I'd want the job anyway.

I'd almost want a job at, say, CompUSA's Store-in-a-Store, just cuz every time I've been to a CompUSA, the Apple section is a complete disaster. I'm surprised they're even able to sell Mac stuff in the first place.

The London Drugs where I'm from (Prince George, BC) has a mix of salespeople, some even moderately competent with computers (what a thought). They seem fairly enthusiastic about selling Macs, and there's been a surge of iBook users at the coffee shop over the past year. In our city, like most in BC, London Drugs is the only Apple vendor.
