Well, there is Privoxy, but Privoxy is a total piece of crap. God damn, how I miss Proxomitron (on Windows).

A lot of people like AdBlock. I have it, but I rarely use Firefox.

Actually, there's something better--Adblock. I recommend the excellent Filterset.G rules to go with it.
