Memory Giant
First of all, I live in Canada. Yesterday, I purchased a 1gb stick for my powerbook from their site w/ the cheapest shipping option they had to Canada. Today i woke up from the fedex guy knocking on my door. The memory is here in less than 24 hours and everyhting works. Great site. I would purchase from them again

youngjeezy, there are other forums at MacNN that are specifically for that purpose.

Posting stuff like this in the Lounge comes across as , especially if you have a low postcount.

I always buy my RAM from Newegg.com. Fast, cheap, and great RMA service when the need arises.

No prob. You're young. You'll learn. THe Lounge has a steep learning curve, that's way it's often best to spent the first months in the other forums and get a taste, then wtch the Lounge for a while ("lurking"), and then, once you know the rules, start playing

I got some from this place a few years ago:

http://www.18004memory.com/

It was cheaper than all the big companies, and it worked well. Not sure about their prices today.

I'll second that recommendation, I've been buying my RAM there since 1997.

The cheapest way I've found to acquire ram is to complain to my friend (that doesn't know anything about his computer) that he needs more RAM and that I'll hook him up. I have him buy 2GB and I install an old 128 in his system and picket the 2 1GB sticks and sell one on eBay...

www.ramjet.com

Expensive than most but quality is far superior

to www.18004memory.com . Horrible quality. Two of three sticks I got from them are corrupted
