I knew a guy that recently had the same problems with AOL.
They simply wouldn't cancel his subscription. And bill him anyhow.
When he would call and complain, they would try to refund him with free AOL hours.

That's odd. I cancelled my AOL membership 4 months ago with just a phone call even the process wasn't easy.

People still use Dial up? In Canada I don't know a single people that uses Dial up... everyone I know has either DSL or Cable interweb.
