So…a less cool version of Dropkick Murphys? Seriously, either the recording was really lousy or they're not as good, but either way, I heard the sound years ago and enjoyed it better then.

They're a local band from Detroit.
It's not supposed to be good musically... it's freaking punk with bag pipes! Do you honestly think that the type of people that decide to put bag pipes in a punk song are going to worry about recording quality. That's like expecting a Macromedia application to not look like a bad windows port!

Okay, then they just suck more than Dropkick Murphys (and, as Zaphod mentioned, Flogging Molly), who do that and sound awesome. I was trying to be generous, man. Mainly I'm surprised that you've never heard bagpipe rock before. It's fun.
Which reminds me, I have no music from either of those bands in my iTunes library on this computer. I need to do something about that.

So, this band is doing something that others have been doing for longer and better?
My goodness indeed.
Let me say it again, for the record: Most (most = 99.9%) Christian music is NOT innovative.

Forgiven? Oh you must be talking about God 2.0, not the one that murdered thousands of people and believed in genocide. God 1.0 was a real bastard, 2.0 is pretty nice though. He has a lot of good messages that I agree with... too bad it's hard to take him seriously considering what he did when he was still 1.0.

It's always funny listening to people who have no understanding of scripture belittle Christians based on events in the OT (which are taken out of context to begin with). The fact that you don't know the difference between Elohim and Adonai speaks volumes.

There is no way, no how, that bagpikes can, like ever, rock.
Some things just Do. Not. Rock. Zithers, Autoharps, Glockenspiels, Accordions, and most of all, Bagpipes.
Blech.

Holy cow that song was a total mess. It sounds like a combination of Fat Bastard with that "I get knocked down, so I get up again" song with some crap from the bible thrown in.
Now that is innovative.

Now, see, I'm the opposite. I like the singing. That down-home, feel it in your gut, "black" holiness, pew jumpin stuff. Preaching is fine, but everyone knows not to bone their neighbor's wife, or shoot their kids. If they haven't applied it by now, they're likely never going to "get it". Church is for celebrating too, not just feeling the "wrath of God".

i can deal with a choir but not the guy/girl during the offering who thinks he can sing. the church my parents go to is like half music half preaching. i would be happier with 1/4 music 3/4 preaching.
