I just found out yesterday my wife's cousin was killed in a motorcycle accident. The world is less funny, beautiful, kind, intelligent that he is gone. Words cannot begin to describe our grief and loss. Jerry was 39 years old and an expert motorcycle rider / racer.

You can see the person he was by viewing the following photo link. I wish to share him with the world. I'm sad beyond myself.

Oh budster, I'm so sorry. I can't say it will be better soon, because you will deal with it in your own time. But, crying is good, it helps clear the headways. Good luck. I'm sorry for your loss and hopefully you will feel better soon.

Sigh...I am sorry to hear this.

I work as an EMT on an ambulance. I see car and motorcycle accidents all too often. Senseless deaths, broken families.

My condolences.

To try and lighten the mood. My friend came by and saw your Location quote, budster. He said that was a perfect description of his last blind date.

It was Jerry's location tag on his screen-name for the motorcycle group he belonged to. I'm glad you brought it up, and the joke. Thanks. I have adopted it as my own. Here is his signature picture:

In these times remember: we are all entagled in this sick and twisted life campaign. Not one of us will escape. The brightside of a young death is the person will not suffer the adages of old age. In this way, I envy him.

I don't have any words to lessen the impact & grief of your loss. As someone who's lost many close ones in the past two years let me just say that life will go on .... and your grief will be supplemented by fond memories.

Best of luck to you and your friend/cousins family.

Sorry to hear about that.

The more I hear about motorcycle accidents like this it makes me wonder if the riders realise how dangerous it can be.

I was involved in a small accident while i was driving my car through a roundabout and a motorbike ran into the side of me. If he was driving a car, it would've been a small dent, but he broke his ankle and ended up being taken to the hospital, and nearly dying from a bloodclot.

Motorbikes are extreeeeemely dangerous in my opinion, even when travelling at 50k/hr.

It's not a drinking problem if I don't have a problem with it.

Wow, sorry to hear that, man. It's tough to try to find the good of a life lived, instead of the tragedy of a life lost. Try to focus on that, and keep the good times alive in your heart.

A joke Jerry would have loved and I'm sure I could have made milk come out his nose on this one.

Bacon and Eggs

A little boy comes down to breakfast. Since they
live on a farm, his
mother asks if he had done his chores. "Not yet,"
said the little
boy. His mother tells him no breakfast until he does
his chores. Well,
he's a little upset, so he goes to feed the
chickens, and he kicks a
chicken. He goes to feed the cows, and he kicks a
cow.

He goes to feed the pigs, and he kicks a pig. He
goes back in for
breakfast and his mother gives him a bowl of dry
cereal. How come I
don't get any eggs and bacon? Why don't I have any
milk in my cereal?"
he asks.

Well," his mother says, "I saw you kick a chicken,
so you don't get
any eggs for a week. I saw you kick the pig, so you
don't get any
bacon for a week either. I also saw you kick the!
cow, so for a week
you aren't getting any milk."

Just then, his father comes down for breakfast and
kicks the
cat halfway across the kitchen. The little boy looks
up at his mother
with a smile, and says: "Are you going to tell him,
or should I?"

What a stupid thing to write, why didn't you just skip the thread? If you look at the picture it was SET UP on it's back and he was just positioned on the four-wheeler... that's not even Jerry you fscuking idiot, it's the other guy that died. His best friend. YOU POS.

I'm sorry about this, Mark.

We'll say a prayer for you and your family and let his wife know that we all send our condolences.

Does the family need a fund for donations? I'll be the first one to contribute.

Let us know?

Thank you.

Cody,

I'll pass on your condolences. Thank You.

-----

The rest of this post has been edited by me, because I had not intended to ask for money on behalf of the families involved, I only wished to vent and get a hug from some of my friends in here. I'm a big fscuking baby who has been crying for 2 days straight and my judgement has failed me. I'm sorry.

Mark

Meelk is an ass. No wonder he/she is on my ignore list. Why post if that's all you have to say here.

Anyway, add my condolences to your and your family and his family. Take solace in the good memories and dwell not on the end.

By the way, everyone please, make a donation. If 1000 of you only donate $1 then that is $1000 that can surely be used. Since most of the people here are good and compassionate people, some of you apparently have disposable income, donate a few bucks - the amount you'd spend on lunch or at McDonald's - to help these people out.

You'll feel great and something good will come your way as a result: Karma.

Man, that sucks.

Losing someone you are close to like that is one of the toughest things you can go through, IMHO. You seem to be handling it better than some, budster.

Think of the good times, focus on your memories of him, and know he'll be there always.

As far as any comment on the dangers of motorcycles and so on, I'm sure he knew those dangers, but he seemed to love motorcycles. Perhaps, if there is any consolation in it, he was doing something he loved to do at the time of his death.

My condolences to you, your wife and the rest of your family. I enjoyed the photos, especially the cross country trip ones, with some of my favorite places in it, like Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Ya know, my uncle dies the same type of way about 10 years ago. He was skiing with his son at Killington. But it was something he loved doing. Funny thing is, he was a Vietnam vet, an ex-cop, owned a bar (sober), went parasailing, had a boat, bungee-jumping, But he lived his life to the fullest. He was doing something he loved with someone he loved. Eventually, this felt right to me.

Thank you all so very much. If you can give a few dollars to the fund for their surviving families, it would be wonderful. If not, I hadn't intended to ask for this anyway, as it was just my way of venting and expressing my anguish.
