As we enter a a new football season, my passion for football rises again. I also love learning and music. What is/are your passion(s)? What do you get psyched about?

I don't get into football, but I'm big into triathlons right now. I just did one this last saturday, and I'm hoping to compete again in 3 weeks.

I used to have a passion for quantum mechanics.

Now I am not too sure anymore...

Tom Brady = Most versatile QB in football, and he has a versatile team to go with him. They lost some key guys this year but the Pats strength has always been its deep lineup and versatility.

Also, Adam V. is my hero

great thread! For me, in no particular order:

- My family and wife.
- My work (emergency medicine).
- Brazilian jiu jitsu (yes Japanese speakers, they spell it wrong).
- Macs and other web design geek stuff.
- Music, my guitars, and recording.
- Hockey.

They've either graduated or are in their third year (the hot ones that I know at least).

Freshman 15 happened to many of them at first, but they sure do rebuond nicely in their 20s

I was gonna say somethin' about the college girls, but then the guy posted about his wife and family, and now I just can't bring myself to say it... damn self conscience!

Being a musician, and all-around music lover at heart, I find it hard for anyone to NOT have a passion for music. I have a few friends that rarely listen to music, and I still can't understand it. They can't really explain it either. I think it's just because their parents didn't play much music when raising them.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but if someone can really pin-point their reason for not caring for music, I'd love to know it! My passion for music is so deep, I honestly just can't see it any other way...

Kidding.

My passions are music (listening and writing), visual artwork (traditional and digital), writing, general fancy pants-ism, and more recently a passion for people. It's strange. I've come to this point in my life where the people I know are the most people I've ever known at one time, the most friends and acquaintances I have ever had. Not to get all serious and personal on friggin' 'NN () and but I feel at a strange point right now. Moments of happiness and sadness and doubt about many things (some too personal, one could say). Not manic depressive. But manic indecisive. Interesting times. Good and bad alike. Almost like a calm before something. I don't know what it is.

One of my largest passions is music.

I saw System of a Down in concert two night ago and they were freakin' awesome (say in a Peter Griffin voice) along with Mars Volta who put on an excellent set as well. Music that good sends shivers down my spine, its a great feeling.

Yeah...puberty will do that.

Don't worry about the pubic hair, it all falls out the first time you have sex.

1. Couch time
2. Waffles
3. Flying
4. WRC ( if there was only 1 thing I could watch, it would be WRC and Paris Dakar)
5. My sugar mama
6. Motorcyle (kinda brand loyal at this point in time, so I can't really say "motorcyles"
7. Bed

These are by no means in descending order, as 7 is 1 with a sizable margin.

Design

Going out/Clubbing/Dancing/Drinking/Women

Football (Errr, Soccer!)

Snowboarding (Only reason I can deal with winter)

Music (Going to see QOTSA on wednesday! Yaay!! )

Threads

I do like American football a lot, but I don't care too much for the NFL. And since they broadcast virtually NO college games here, I've lost some of the "passion" I had for it at one time.

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

When some of you say women, is that what makes life worth living? I think love does, but are you really meaning sex? Just curious....

Hey, I knew the risk trying to have any kind of serious conversation on here. It's cool. I got iBook, but I'm still too cool. I will be 24 this year, by the way. My thoughts didn't come off too childish, I hope? These are things people think about in their adult lives, I'm sure. And what is "childish," really?

I didn't mean sex. I meant everything about women, right down to your lovely little earlobes and the way you guys annoy the poop out of me when you're shopping for shoes.

The same as it is with my passion for guitars, I guess. I'm not just into the sound of guitars or playing them - I'm into everything about them; the sound, the feel, the wood that they're made from, the number of times the wire has been wrapped around the pickup magnets, the impedance of the effects loop in the amp head. All of it. Same with women; brains, boobs, legs, earlobes, quirks, smiles, eyes, hair, walks, wiggles - all of it.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

The outdoors: hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, boating/sailing and just plan walking.
Literature: I am working on a masters in medieval literature and I am taking a class on Dante this semester. Bring on the Commedia. Wahoo!
Computers: My Macs of course.
Family: My super-adorable niece and my cat.
Football: Go Gunners!
Women: All of them. But there is one in particular who just absolutely, completely, totally captivates me.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.
