Since Moday morning I haven't gotten one spam email. Very strange. Anyone know of any spammers taken down recently?

That Russian who got shot.

That said, I get maybe one or two spams a month on my .Mac stuff. Now, gmail on the other hand... It's getting as bad as hotmail.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

Were they all operating from New Orleans?

Seriously: My spam-catching account is business as usual. Maybe your ISP changed something/installed more filters?

Well, I've got 28 since Monday. All taken care of by SpamAssassin, so I don't care.
But it's spambusiness as usual...

I got a free hotmail account for my "spam repository". Any online entity needs an email address, my hotmail one is what they get. Go ahead, send all you want! every week I forward the entire contents to "support@hotmail.com" just for giggles. Those scvmbags are the ones who probably sold my account in a huge list to the spammers in the first place. And even if it doesn't go to a monitored account at least I know it's bouncing around on their servers for a while. I must get 10 or 15 every day, plus other stuff the MSN spam filters do actually pick up. I do a quick scan of the subjects to see if any are "order confirmations" from some one I actually know, then the whole lot goes to the support address. And I giggle the whole time.

i've managed to keep my real account pretty spam free for the few years i've had it. my gmail account (online stuff and spam) has enourmous amounts of spam though.

GMail is pretty good at filtering spam. Hotmail is completely random. I swear they just take every third email and put it in my junk mail folder, no rhyme or reason. Even from the same sender, some stuff goes into the normal mail pile, other stuff goes into junk. And when I compare that to some of what they let in as legit email it makes no sense whatsoever. Clearly they're not filtering based on subject line.
