Long story short, I got a Mac Classic for free from my high school. it has a password that locks me out of just about everything. The program that runs on launch is called "at ease"

I tried everything mentioned [url=http://www.macworld.com/forums/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB2&Number=228968 &page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=& fpart=]here[/url and none of it worked.

Holding shift at startup - nothing
Holding space at startup - nothing
I even zapped the PRAM - nothing (other than making the mouse tracking speed much slower)

The only thing I didn't do is try reformatting the HD and re-installing the OS... I can't figure out how to do this. I can't find any way to boot onto a floppy.

Please help!

If loosing some old software isn“t an issue for you then why not simply get a SCSI disk from ebay (< 2GB is only 1 to a few bucks) and do a system 7 instal using the floppy disk images?

I am currently formatting the drive so i can reinstall System 7.0.1, then i will upgrade to 7.5.5 since thats the newest version it can handle. I grabbed a handful of system disks from school today to use to format it, then I am going to upgrade to 7 using disks from here
