Oddly enough, I never get a 404 on an ad when I surf MacNN from work on my winXP laptop, but I get them all the time on my iBook at home.... whazzup wit dat?

That would be coincidence, since the 404 is on the server side. Either that or your computer at work is somehow getting different ads targeted at it.
