About two months ago I turned in my application to the Apple Store down here in Miami, just to humor myself of course. They made me turn it into the assistant manager, don't know why I couldn't just leave it with someone at the counter, whatever, so I did. She tells me they're currently not hiring and to call her in about a month, she gave me her card, I left and almost threw it away. Today I'm rummaging through my stuff and I stumble unpon the crumpled card and remember that she told me to call, at that time I'm thinking, "Why should I call? I'm going to make myself look like a lazy bastard," which I infact am. Ring, ask for her, transferred. I mention the application and she mentions she's going through applications as we speak, right then and there I'm like, "Interesting...," and then she asks for my name, I give, she finds. After a bit of a discussion over scheduling, since I just started college and all, she tells me to come in next Thursday for an interview at 2PM. At the time I was so amazed that I completely ignored the fact I had a class at 2PM that day. So now I'm stuck between cutting those classes that day and trying to get a job or going to class and possibly missing out on a great opportunity.

I dunno where to be like this:

Or like this:

Thanks. I might just do what any normal person would do and talk to the professor about missing the class... But then I'd have to talk to my professors. And one of them is Russian

I miss a good half of my classes every week. Class isn't everything - go to the interview.

I've decided! I'm going to leave the decision to the almighty Deep Thought! It should have an answer by Thursday right? I mean it's not as complicated as coming up with 42, is it?

I got the job! I'm now an official Apple employee, and I might get to do one of the in-store workshops!

He'll understand. Russians are horrible about attending their uni classes.

That's cool. And skipping class? I stopped showing up to most of my morning classes in college. I had one prof specifically change her attendance policy because of me. Granted she wouldn't you know say so... but she looked directly at me when talking about the new policy

That's very interesting.

I applied online, but no feedback at all.

Good luck for your job and classes.

I went to the store and got the application then returned later during the day to hand it directly to the HR Manager. Try doing that. Also, it helps to get their business card just incase you need to communicate.

I can only skip two of my five classes, becuase they don't check attendance.

He was okay about it... I still don't like him though, he's kind of full of himself.
