That's it. I.m done, I'm sticking to you anonymous people from now on.... Some may recollect... I had a friend about 6 mos. ago who told me she was dying of some kidney disease. Well, we had a tiff a few weeks back about some other LIES she told and though we went to dinner tonight... things were tense...

Well, I got bored an decided to confront her about the kidney thing when the little drunk **** called. She has no recollection...I decided to confront her about other things... she made up shiiite.

She starts to still be my friend but called me and cut it off....

I'm sticking to guys as my friends....

Ok, KeriVit. I know what you mean. Fewer complications here. Limited depth of involvement = Limited possibility of pain.

But you can only look at us as TEMPORARY playthings. Or INTERIM playthings. You are a beautiful, vital, intelligent and talented person who has a lot to GIVE and to receive. We'll ALWAYS be here. But to give in to your momentary disappointment is chickenshiite.

We want MORE. (We, meaning society.) We want ALL you have to give and then we want even more from you than that. You will NOT deny society. You will not deny the people in your area who need you. You will not deny yourself.

Use the community here as you will but the minute you give up on life, REAL LIFE, in favor of this candy coated approximation of life, you become less attractive to us.

That said, got pics?

Just Kidding...you are a liberal, eeeewwwwwww!

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

Sadly good friends are hard to find. Don't have much luck either.

A good friend of mine once said: "You have no friends, only business associates" (Dave Jenkins)

He's right... never expect to have anyone to have your personal interests at heart like you do. If you ask for that you're asking too much in this world.

I have a friend who makes up stories too. it's a nice guy, but sometimes his imagination just carries him away. it doesn't make him a bad person. i don't confront him with his lies, i guess he will learn how to control it. i sometimes just wonder aloud how strange it must have been to experience something like that (like he has 2 stewardesses for a girlfriend, owned a maserati, blablabla)

Join a church... generally people who go to church only bend the truth, they won't out right lie And you'll meet some of the most honest people there too... actually seriously if you want to meet some really amazing people, most of the people I'm glad I know are strong strong Christians.

I can't stand people like that... drives me NUTS!

They do that because they want attention, they are usually a middle child too (at least with my experience)

If you know that someone makes up stories it's not that bad. it's immature, but not that bad to give up a friendship for. it would be more embarressing if they were lies that affected my life, then i would take action.

When the made up stories are coming from a 30 year old, and when they consist of dying stories, when they are also full of empty promises, with lies for excuses (rather than "I was busy")... Then, it starts to grate at your nerves.

It is hard to a friend to someone for 10 years and ignore or blow off these lies. After a while, the lies get worse and it gets very tiring when you don't know if even the most simple statement is true.

It's been a very sucky day for me today.

In past sucky days I would ask friends for help and the day would end up two, three four times as sucky.

Better to have a sucky day than a 4X sucky day.

Dude (or dudet) people suck. Most people suck. Just find the ones who don't suck as much as the others.
