The complete audiobooks are now at the iTMS. More than 95 hours in total.

I think this is cool personally. I am a HP fan, and the HP iPod is well done. And I always wondered why HP was not on iTMS. Its nice to have to to complete the iTMS collection some more.

No, but most audiobooks are abridged.
These seem to be unabridged.
Still, I have my own eyes, so I can read any book I want myself. No, listening to books while driving (or doing anything else for that matter) is NOT my idea of a good time. It might be good for blind kids, though I think Harry Potter comes in Braille editions too.
Apple should let people engrave their iPods with whatever graphic images they want. Now THAT would be cool.

Audiobooks are great. I might get the set. Perfect for commutes or flights.

Yeah, they sure do make them long drives much shorter.
Although my one thing with this is how terribly the narrator does the femal voices. At least the teenager ones. But all things said, they're not all that bad.
The one audio book that was TERRIBLE was this atrocious rendition of Homer's Oddysey (spelling?). This guy seriously tried to make the womens' voices feminine (and failed miserably), but the worst part was that he went and made sound effects for stuff that was happening... terrible. Amusing, but terrible.

I think the kids will love it.
The same kids who can get whatever they want or have their parents do whatever they want.
But there are a lot of adults who like this series. I think the audio books will do better then the iPod, but both will do very well.

Wow. Umm wait a minute what am I excited about again? Well I'm sure the iPod company (formerly known as Apple Computer) will make a small profit off the little kids who can afford a $300 MP3 player.

Apparently, no rating for new threads automatically means good rating, but not being displayed as such.

Steven Fry does a much better job of narrating the Harry Potter books than Jim Dale.
