Creative already has an MP3 player called the "Nano." I thin Apple might be changing the new iPod name pretty quick.

Maybe they're saying "nano" is an adjective describing the iPod. Safecom has the "Safecom 256mb Mini mp3 player" and Apple didn't go after them for the use of the word mini.

Yeah, but how else are Creative and Microsoft going to compete with Apple if they can't sue them?

They'll come up with something new and innovative that will..... bwahahahaha... I can't even type the whole thing out without cracking up.

Nope, you're right. Our "sue-happy" society will help them "level the playing field".

Didn't they change it to the "Nano" the day before Apple announced the Nano?

First, it's not "Nano", it's "nano". Second, by the time any lawsuit gets to court, the iPod femto will be out.

Somebody else already figured out that Creative didn't trademark "Nano".
