The ad on Macnn says Poker with the Mac at it's heart. I don't know how to play Poker. Is it easy? Is it safe to do gambling online in roulette? Are they all scams? Which ones are not scams?

If you are filing bankruptcy my advice is to not gamble money or your life.

I would completely trust all ads on MacNN.
Direct your life after the ads.
Ads are good for you.
You can't lose with MacNN ads.

Slightly off topic: I prefer my "gaming" to be in-person. I like the feel of the chips, the socializing with the other players, the free drinks, and the banter with the dealers. On-line gaming is too sterile. If I did any on-line gambling it would be in the stock market.

If you:

LIKE the game and want to play it whenever you want with live opponents
Want to learn
Enjoy playing but can't afford to play for real money
Can't get to a real casino

Then online play is great. There are various online casinos that offer a different feel for the games and only by playing at each for hundreds of hours will you generally know which are your favorites. There are some GUI's I absolutely hate.

Not many are Mac friendly.

I believe they are honest, but others with more/better info should speak to that issue.

Tell you what, 2004 World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker had never played in a real casino. He had ONLY played online and got good at it then went to the WSOP and won it all!

There are a few free online schools/tutorials (usually found at the casino sites) where you can learn the basics and get to the point where you are a consistent winner. Or, at least understand the strategy and the terminology and know what your own weaknesses are as a player such as playing on "TILT" (scaught! lol).
Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

Heheh... well, I can't gamble, but I would say this is true with just about anything on the internet. I mean, a chatroom really isn't quite the same as a good conversation over lunch, etc. (Speaking of chatrooms, that makes me think... I SERIOUSLY hope people don't use "1337" in online gambling--eeeew! "I ahve a fu11 h0us3!! w00t! pwns ur 2 p41rz!!!")

Actually, if you were to somehow get onto one of the free play money games and introduce 1337 we could all say we knew who started the trend!
