The owner of the website you linked the sig image from removed the file -- it's returning a "404 not found" message.

How much you willing to spend?
I have a Xerox Phaser 6100 (formally Tektronix)... works great ($700). It's toner based, but spending the extra money on the crayon type wasn't justified in my case. My only gripe is that because it's a 'office printer', it takes forever to get out from powersave mode... And since I'm the only one printing to it... its usually in that mode (it has to run through all the toner casings and I guess warm up certain parts).

i really do not want to go over 1k if it is worth it. the thing i have with these things is this. I look on pcworld.com at their review of the top 10 and they list some. but when i got to stores like staples or office max i see really cheap ones like under around 300 bucks and the ones pcworld lists dont go below 600 bucks.
I know that you get what you pay for but i wonder if a 300 dollar one would serve my purpose just as well as a 1000 dollar one.

The Epson C11C588141 looks very nice and is in your price range. It has an auto document feeder for copying and scanning, and also supports faxing. It has built-in network support as well.
I personally have a Samsung CLP-550, which has worked well for me, but there are some problems with it.

I'm looking for one as well, I just want the cheapest duplex, color that works with Airport Express. Anyone know?

The CLP-550N that I have has built-in duplex support, and now goes for only around $400. It doesn't work with Airport Express, but it has built-in network support that works fine.

You should be careful not to save too much on the printer. For instance HP's smallest color laserjet has a whopping 125-sheet paper tray! That's nothing if you – as you say – print a lot. So if you save on the printer, that'll have a downside as the price pressure increases the lower you go.
I'd suggest you look into an Oki as it uses a single-pass printing process, which means it is roughly three times as fast as most of its competitors in color!

All the color laser vendors offer single-pass color. It is true that Oki offers it all the way to their cheapest model -- but their cheapest isn't as low in price as the cheapest 4-pass laser.
To the original poster: look into the Xerox Phaser 8500 series. It's solid-ink inkjet. VERY fast (when these things print, the sound that you think is it beginning to load the paper is in fact it finishing up the print process), and they're cheap to operate -- Xerox claims they're comparable to a B&W laser. The one client I set up with one has been thrilled with it.
