Can't wait for me and the family to get iSight cams. Great concept.

Chatting via video in iChat is cool, but I didn't realize I was missing something until recently when a client introduced me to ShowMacster, a utility that enables me to display more than just my ugly mug during a video chat.
The notion behind ShowMacster is simple: why limit your outgoing video signal to what's in front of your webcam, when you can also interject other digital imagery such as photos or movies? Say you're video chatting with your mother and want to show her your latest digital photos. What then?

Thats kind of cool. I would like to see it in action, though there are like a million other ways to do a lot of what he's proposing.

Sounds really cool. Another reason to purchase an iSight. The problem would be who I would be able to contact?

Paco is bitter about the loss of his .mac webpage. Image will return when his sadness lessens.

At the bottom of the page it says it works with any video camera as long as it's firewire. Yes you can probably do the same kinds of things with other software but I haven't found anything that lets you do it all and with the ease that this app claims it will do.

You just watch. Apple will buy them out and integrate this feature into Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Well, my question was more along the lines of "Can I use it w/o ANY camera attached, just the desktop sharing feature by itself ?"
Anyone know ?
