I'm sitting here in a hotel room (business trip) with the usual 5 channels on the hotel TV. (Why do very expensive hotels have the least channels, while $35 hotels have a ton of TV and free internet) <-- Doesn't make sense.
Anyway: The commercial says "if you have personally experienced any adverse effects or symptoms from VIOXX up to and including a heart attack or death then please call (law office) immediately so we can begin to take steps to have you compensated for your suffering."
err ... ahh .... if I ever personally experience death from VIOXX I guess I should call them to be compensated.

People who USUALLY can afford the more expensive hotels didn't make that kind of money by watching TV. Usually.
TV is kinda like Budweiser. No offense to anyone. I like Bud well enough and I love TV.
And I can't afford an expensive hotel. Go figure.

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

Shhh.. Don't wake them up - you know how much they like to eat brains once they've sued the drug company which killed them.

I can't afford expensive hotels either ..... it's a business trip. ( I think I mentioned that.)

Most of the TV industry is based on Dead Men Watching. TV is the number one time-killer in history.
There are some rare good shows though.

When I've stayed at expensive hotels, it's because I'm with a femme or on business. Neither of those gives me time to sit in front of the TV (when I'm with a femme, I don't want to ).
When I've stayed at cheap hotels (e.g., trips to Vegas where you cram 10,000 people in a room), I'm always doing something outside my room, so again no time to sit in front of the TV.
Now, about the wording of that commercial, well that's just retarted

I think commercials like this are targeted towards my grandmother. She lost her husband of 50 years to a heart attack probably brought on by Vioxx.
She is also currently suffering heart related complications due to taking Vioxx.
It really is sad how this drug was marketed.

Because high priced hookers don't watch that much TV while on the job?

Since we've changed topics to my side note: Let's forget about the TV ... why do more expensive hotels charge you for the Internet connection (where you are more likely to need it) and Motel 6 places seem to give it to you.
The place I'm in now wants to charge me PER COMPUTER. I always travel with 2 machines, but I can only update one because I'm not paying $10 per day (times 2). Expense account or not ....
