In my anthropology class years back, we needed to know the difference between GPS and one other system. I thought it was GSRS, but I guess not.
It's a reference database that you can tap in and coordinate with GPS and it'll give you topical data at your location. It'll tell show you a map and all sorts of info like soil composition and density, known geological landmarks, etc.
They had it the anthropology department and used it a lot. Just can't remember tha name of it.
