My wife was in a pretty bad car wreck yesterday.

Luckily, she's just sore, nothing really severely injured. The other guy was ok too.

Glad she's OK.

very scary, glad she is okay.

my flat mate has been through the same thing recently. (except he has horrible luck)
1. about 3 months ago his '98 vw golf was hit on the passenger side by a big rig truck that ran a stop street. car totaled.
2. rental car number one. back tire blows and something happens to the axel.
3. rental car number two. something happens to the engine, car never starts the same again.
4. buys a 97 vw golf. something happens to the engine and it over heats.
he owns the car for 2.5 months but for about 1.5 months it sits at the garage getting "fixed." it never got fixed.
5. friday before last he rear ended an suv. vw golf number two totaled.
6. saturday that just passed the state troopers pulled him over because the plates and registration for the car were not the car's registration.

he took the car back to enterprise and they gave him a sebring convertible to make up for it. not the greatest car in the world, but it's a convertible (nice here in florida), and it's a lot better than the dodge stratus they first gave him.

hopefully out of this he will be able to buy a better car this time round, and luckily he is okay after both his accidents.

We got our rental today, 2005 Chevy Malibu. Pretty nice.

I'm going to miss our Mazda though. Ran like a champ. I doubt we can afford to replace it with something as nice, considering it had a brand new windshield, new tires and $1200 worth of work done to it this summer.

You better keep an eye on your wife.

My brother was in a similar accident a few years back. For a few days he thought he was fine. Like your wife, he was "just sore." It turns out that after a few days things got a bit worse. He ended up not having full use of his left arm because the accident had actually caused damage to his shoulder. His left hand would randomly go numb, too. He ended up needing surgery.

Hopefully your wife won't have this kind of problem, but just in case, you know...

Sorry about the accident but l am glad to hear your wife is OK.

Several years ago I got broad-sided by a young girl driving daddy's BMW. Damage to my car was similar to yours. Except the whole passenger side was pushed in a foot and the force of the impact buckled the top and popped open the driver's side door. Pretty scary stuff.

Give your wife lots of attention and find someplace to give her a full body massage next week. She'll need it.

Luckily, she works for a doctor's office, so we were there yesterday, getting some x-rays, generally checking her out.

The day of the wreck, it was hard for her to tell if it was new soreness or the usual from her Rheumatoid Arthritis.
