What is the nature of this relationship? Does Apple still own Filemaker? Are they heavily involved?

I downloaded the Filemaker trial, and I noticed that the trial server is running on NT, and the installer is still one of those old VISE installers. Obviously, this doesn't seem to indicate that they are that heavily influenced by Apple.

AFAIK, Apple still fully owns Filemaker Inc. However it is run as an entirely separate entity - focussing on selling Database Solutions, with no influence by Apple.
