not really much for baseball, but i pay casual attention to it along with some other sports. maybe a little more so now given the hearings and whatnot concerning steriods.
so i read the sports headlines and see that barry bonds has hit a homerun in each of his last four games. *assuming* that if he was once using now prohibited substances - which many times i've read are largely responsible for his homerun totals late in his career - and further *assuming* that if he was formerly using that he would come back clean: what is the explanation for him coming back very late in the season after several knee surgeries and accomplishing this feat?
further use of even less conspicuous substances? immense talent and work ethic (he's just that good)? or... is it the shoes?!
given all the critical comments i've seen in headlines concerning him and others in baseball, i think folks are going to be scrambling for a rational explanation for the current numbers - especially if he hits a few more homeruns before the season's end.
be well.
