a friend will soon bring over his xbox. apparently the xbox has an ethernet port. If i connect an ethernet cable from the xbox to my powerbook does anyone know exactly how i can view the mp3 files on this device an then copy to my powerbook HD? I cant seem to find any info on how this is done, no mention of any IP address or ftp address or directory structure from the searches i have executed.

thanks inadvance

I thought all the files on the XBOX are Windows media anyway.

Unless it's a hacked Xbox, it isn't going to work. The only way to get the songs would be to run the audio through your powerbook and capture the audio.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

If it does have a modchip, or it's software hacked, you can log on to it using an ftp client. Default login/password for most Dashboards is usually xbox/xbox.

If it's not hacked, then you can't do it.
