That's what Sgt Reese said too.

a friend of mine can hold her hands behind her back and without letting go of her hands, bring her arms over her head to the front.

if you watch her shoulder as she does it, you see it pop out and back in. she said it doesn't hurt.

My left shoulder dislocates all the time... all i have to do is stretch by arms back to stretch out my chest and it pops out of place. It happens to me all the time in my sleep because I like to sleep on my left side with my arm under my pillow. I'll wake up in the middle of the damn night and have to pop my shoulder back in place. It's a real Mel Gibson freak show.

OUCH! That's gonna leave a BIG mark! And the poor guy with the funny-pointing arm will be very unhappy when he gets to come home-very unhappy indeed!

I can easily dislocate mine (right side) and pop it back in due to an old injury. It's not a totally pain free process though, it's usually pretty sore afterwards.

As a nurse I wouldn't recommend doing this on purpose. Accidents to happen. No reason to risk permanent damage.
